You Have the Power - Use It!
By Dianna Hobbs
I am going to be brief today (At least my version of being brief), but I want to share something with you. If you want all that God has for you, be willing to go after it passionately and persistently. Don’t be a quitter. Don’t be a complainer. Don’t be lazy. Why am I telling you this? I’ll get to that in a moment, but first I really want you to evaluate your assumptions about business and ministry.
What are your expectations?
If you think you can put in minimal effort and get maximum results, you’re sorely mistaken. Always remember, if you want to succeed in life, it takes hard work. It requires late nights and early mornings, delayed gratification, and plenty of sacrifices. Surely, you’ll enjoy the fruit of your labor, but you have to first commit to doing the work. Invest lots of time and attention. It’ll pay off you do. You’ll be frustrated and stuck in a rut, if you don’t.
Unfortunately, many people are turned off by the level of desire, discipline, and diligence it takes to nurture their vision and make it grow. Somehow, they romanticized the idea of being their own boss, climbing the corporate ladder, or gaining support for their initiatives. How about you? Where do you stand? Are you ready and willing to do what it takes to expand your influence for the Kingdom?
I want you to remember what I’m about to tell you and never forget it: “If you want to change your harvest, you have to change your habits.” If you use my quote, give me credit . . . don’t act up.
I want you to remind yourself of this fact everyday. Sadly, there are many individuals who are tired of where they are, but they don’t want to do what’s necessary to change their situation. I don’t want that to be you. If you want something different, do something different.
Listen, life isn’t going to be all reward and no labor. That’s unrealistic. However, if you plan your work and work your plan, you’ll begin to see productivity and increase in your life.
Until next time . . . may you be empowered to prosper!
